US power metal band whose Adrenaline EP was produced by the late David Wayne (Metal Church) and engineered by Joe Floyd (Warrior). After co-founder Davey Lee passed in 2010, they released In the End on Pure Steel Records in 2020 as a tribute.
Byzantine formed in Charleston, West Virginia in 2000, developing a progressive take on groove and thrash metal that drew comparisons to Testament and Meshuggah. The band released their debut The Fundamental Component in 2004, signed to Prosthetic Records, and later signed to Metal Blade Records, releasing The Cicada Tree (2017) and The Sympathy of Light (2021). After breaking up in 2008 and reforming in 2012, they have remained one of the more underrated acts in American heavy metal.
Bömbraid are a black/thrash metal band from Dosquebradas, Risaralda, Colombia, formed in 2020 and signed to High Tension Records. The trio—trading under the names Hellbomber, JJA Nekro, and Nunsfucker—released their debut demo Meet Me in the Graveyard in 2021, blending first-wave black metal aggression with punk-infused speed.
