Woken formed in Oceanport, New Jersey in 2017, playing thrash metal rooted in the aggressive, riff-driven tradition of the genre's classic era. The band channels the raw energy and precision of Bay Area and East Coast thrash into a sound that feels urgent without being nostalgic. Still active and building their catalog, they represent the continued vitality of straightforward, no-frills thrash on the East Coast club circuit.

Wolf Hex formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 2021, staking out ground in the crowded but fertile territory of blackened thrash — music that wears its Venom and early Bathory influences openly while keeping the riffs sharp and the tempos punishing. Providence's long history as a hotbed of experimental and extreme music gives the band a context that values sonic risk-taking, and Wolf Hex delivers aggression with a manic, occult edge.
