The LA lineage gives their sound a polished intensity, and the progressive elements push their songwriting well beyond genre convention.

San Francisco's Desecration have been melding death and thrash metal since 1998, drawing from the Bay Area's legendary thrash heritage and inflecting it with the darker, more brutal tonality of death metal. Their quarter-century of activity makes them one of the more quietly persistent acts in the city's extreme metal lineage.

New York's Desecrator have been worshipping at the altar of old-school thrash since 2011, channeling the genre's most aggressive and unpolished impulses into music that makes no apologies for its devotion to the classics. Their sound is built on speed, riffs, and an understanding that thrash was always as much an attitude as a genre.

Grants Pass, Oregon's Desecrator fuse thrash metal's velocity with black metal's icy, malevolent atmosphere, a combination that has defined their sound since 2011. Southern Oregon's remote, forested terrain feels embedded in the darkness of their black/thrash hybrid.

Cincinnati's Desensitized arrived in 2020 with a death/thrash hybrid that channels the ferocity of both traditions without splitting the difference — the thrash is aggressive and fast, the death metal influence dark and heavy. The Queen City has a long metal heritage, and Desensitized keep it in violent good health.

Woodstock, Connecticut's Desiderium have been working the thrash and groove metal intersection since 2011, delivering driving, kinetic riffwork that draws from both the technical precision of thrash and the body-moving punch of groove. The rural Connecticut setting gives their heaviness a certain unglamorous directness.
