Art of Anarchy is an American hard rock supergroup formed in 2011, built around brothers Jon and Vince Votta and featuring high-profile rotating vocalists. Their self-titled debut (2015) prominently featured late Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland, though the nature of his involvement was publicly disputed; Scott Stapp of Creed replaced him for the band's second album in 2017. Later lineups brought in Jeff Scott Soto (Sons of Apollo, ex-Journey), alongside guitarist Ron Thal (Bumblefoot, ex-Guns N' Roses) and bassist John Moyer (Disturbed).

California doom band whose name perfectly captures their approach — massive, sky-reaching riffs that slowly elevate through crushing weight into transcendent heaviness.
Pittsburgh, PA · 1992–present · active
Pittsburgh NWOTHM band carrying the Steel City's heavy metal banner with classic riffs and anthemic energy, adding to Western Pennsylvania's deep metal heritage.
Pittsgrove, NJ · 2023–present · active
Pittsgrove/Elmer, New Jersey progressive metal project with ten releases since 2023. Behind Jupiter Clouds and subsequent EPs build a rapidly expanding catalog of ambitious prog from the Garden State's rural Salem County.
Orlando, FL · 2022–present · active
Orlando, Florida melodic death metal project whose 2022 debut grieving and growing up uses lowercase honesty to strip melodeath down to its emotional core. A coming-of-age album rendered in dual harmonies.
Grants Pass, OR · 2017–present · active
Grants Pass, Oregon death metal act whose 2017 debut Sanctimonious targets religious hypocrisy through punishing extremity from southern Oregon's Rogue Valley.
Seattle, WA · 2014–present · active
Seattle NWOTHM and stoner metal outfit named after the Twin Peaks character. Three releases since 2014 including Devil's Bell and Pure Heavy deliver thick, groove-laden metal from the city David Lynch made synonymous with Pacific Northwest darkness.
Los Angeles, CA · 2024–present · active
Los Angeles progressive metal project with twelve releases since 2024. Their rapid-fire output — including the Amor Fati EP drawing on Nietzschean philosophy — builds one of the most prolific prog catalogs in recent LA history.
Hardinsburg, KY · 2013–present · active
Hardinsburg, Kentucky deathcore project with seven releases since 2013. Broadcasting To The Nations and subsequent albums demonstrate a prolific commitment to crushing breakdowns from one of Kentucky's most rural communities.
