Irist
Formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 by guitarists Pablo Davila and Adam Mitchell alongside vocalist Rodrigo Carvalho, Irist combine sludge metal, progressive rock, groove, and Latin rhythmic influences into a sound that resists easy categorization. Signed to Nuclear Blast Records, the band's releases including Order of the Mind and the EP Gloria demonstrate an approach that draws from heavy metal, grunge, and post-metal without settling into any single idiom.
