Fierce Metalcore from San Antonio.
Manntis formed in Riverside County, California in 2000 and gained wider exposure in 2004 as contestants on MTV's Battle for Ozzfest, a platform that led directly to a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. The band's debut album Sleep in Your Grave was released in June 2005, featuring a melodic metalcore sound that positioned them alongside the mid-2000s Southern California heavy scene. Despite plans for a follow-up album, no further full-length materialized, leaving Sleep in Your Grave as their sole major label statement.

Columbia City, Indiana's Matanza evolved from metalcore roots into a brutalizing blend of death metal and grindcore — all velocity, grit, and aggression with zero compromise. Their trajectory mirrors a band shedding its skin in pursuit of something far more savage.
East Hartford's Matt Danger blends progressive metal ambition with metalcore intensity, threading intricate arrangements through aggressive heaviness. Since 2012, the Connecticut act has pushed that tension in directions most bands in either genre wouldn't dare.
Hard-hitting Metalcore from Weatherford.
Denton metalcore with anthemic hooks and aggressive breakdowns. One of the biggest metalcore bands to come out of Texas.
Formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1990, Merauder are a pioneering metalcore act that fused hardcore punk with heavy metal influences drawn from the Cro-Mags and Leeway. Their debut album Master Killer (1995) on Century Media Records became a cornerstone of the genre, followed by Five Deadly Venoms (1999) and Bluetality (2003). The band has remained intermittently active, releasing God Is I in 2009 via Regain Records.
Denver's Met by Moonlight are a young band formed in 2023 working the boundary between traditional heavy metal and metalcore, bringing melodic instincts and structural ambition to a style that often trades in blunt force alone. Their dual influences give them flexibility — the ability to write heavy, hook-driven material that draws on metal's classic vocabulary while incorporating the rhythmic intensity and emotional directness associated with the harder end of metalcore.
