Pathology
Pathology is an American death metal band from San Diego, California, formed in 2006 by drummer Dave Astor, previously of Cattle Decapitation and The Locust. The band built a prolific catalog across labels including Victory Records — where Legacy of the Ancients (2010) and Awaken to the Suffering (2011) appeared — and released eleven studio albums through 2021, with The Everlasting Plague being their most recent. Their approach draws from brutal death metal traditions with recurring themes of medical horror and human mortality.
