Rapid City, South Dakota black metal project formed in 2020, Dísablót takes its name from a Norse sacrificial ceremony honoring the dísir — female ancestral spirits — situating the project squarely within heathen tradition. Their Dakotas origin lends an isolated, stark quality appropriate to their icy, pagan aesthetic.
