BAT is a heavy metal and speed metal trio from Richmond, Virginia, formed in 2013 by Municipal Waste guitarists Ryan Waste and Nick Poulos, who channeled their love of the dirtier and more primitive side of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal into a stripped-back analog format. The band recorded their initial material to analog reel-to-reel tape, and with drummer Chris Marshall joining in 2017, solidified a road-tested lineup. BAT are currently signed to Nuclear Blast Records.
