Cape Girardeau, MO · 2016–present · active
Out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Eurydice carves a path between melodic death metal's soaring hooks and metalcore's percussive intensity since forming in 2016. Their approach channels the mythic tragedy of their namesake into music that oscillates between brutality and melody with conviction.
FL · 1999–present · active
Evergreen Terrace formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1999, taking their name from the street where the Simpsons live, and built a durable career in metalcore through relentless touring alongside Hatebreed, As I Lay Dying, and August Burns Red. Their early albums Losing All Hope Is Freedom (2001) and Burned Alive by Time (2002) established them in the underground, while Wolfbiker (2007) and Almost Home (2009) on Metal Blade Records broadened their audience. After nearly a decade without new material, the band returned with a new single in 2024.
Fort Lauderdale, FL · 2016–present · active
Fort Lauderdale's Eversinceve has been delivering melodic groove metal and metalcore out of South Florida since 2016, a region that has historically produced some of extreme metal's most brutal practitioners. Their groove-forward, melodic approach carves a distinct niche in Florida's heavy music landscape, prioritizing hooks alongside heaviness.

Long Beach, NY · 2011–present · active
Long Beach, New York's Execute Order 66 have been merging melodic death metal's twin-guitar melodicism with metalcore's breakdown-driven structure since 2011. Their name announces a certain irreverence, but their music is earnest in its hybridization of European melodeath aesthetics with the American metalcore tradition that shaped the Long Island scene.

FL · 2014–present · active
Florida's Exit Life operate at the intersection of death metal, hardcore, and metalcore, crafting music since 2014 that hits with the blunt force of the Sunshine State's long-standing extreme music tradition. Their crossover positioning means they're equally at home in the pit and the underground metal venue.
San Fernando Valley, CA · 2020–present · active
San Fernando Valley's Extinction have been fusing thrash and death metal since 2020, drawing on Southern California's long relationship with extreme music to produce something that honors both traditions. The Valley's sprawling suburban geography seems to fuel a certain restless, aggressive energy in the bands it produces.
Andover, FL · 2022–present · active
Florida's Extinction Coefficient launched in 2022 weaving progressive metal's architectural ambition into a metalcore framework, creating music that demands active listening alongside its physical impact. The Andover origin places them outside the state's major scenes, lending their work an independent, exploratory quality.
